# Image License

What you can do with your photographs, and what needs written permission.

## Who owns the photographs

Copyright in every photograph made by Bridget Daehler Photography stays with the photographer under US copyright law. Clients receive a license to use their images, and the scope of that license depends on the type of session.

## Personal sessions: seniors, families, newborns, engagements

Personal session clients receive a perpetual, non exclusive print release for personal use. You may print at any lab and in any size, share the images on your personal social accounts, send them to family, and use one as a profile photo or on a save the date or announcement.

You may not sell the images, enter them into contests as your own work, license them to a third party, or use them to promote a business.

## Commercial, branding and headshot sessions

Business clients receive a commercial license covering the uses named in their agreement. Monthly brand photography includes perpetual, unlimited usage across all owned and paid channels: website, social, email, digital and print advertising, and out of home.

Reselling the files, sublicensing them to another business or supplying them to a stock library is not included in any tier.

## Editing and credit

Please use the delivered files as delivered. Cropping to fit a required aspect ratio is fine; recolouring, applying filters, adding overlays that alter the subject and removing or obscuring a watermark are not.

Credit is not required for personal use and is always appreciated. On social media a tag to the studio account is the easiest way to do it. Publications and brands should credit as Photograph by Bridget Daehler Photography.

## Model release and portfolio use

The session agreement states whether images may be shown in the public portfolio, on this website or on social media. Clients who prefer their session stays private simply say so, and it does. Consent can also be withdrawn later; email a request and the images will be removed from public view.

## Press, media and third party requests

Publications, venues, agencies, schools and vendors wanting to use an image must request permission in writing at daehler.b@gmail.com. Include where the image will appear, for how long and in what size. Most editorial requests are granted quickly with credit.

## Website images

Photographs on this site are shown as portfolio work and are not free to reuse. Downloading, screenshotting, scraping or reposting them, including as training data, without written permission is not permitted.
