Milton Reimers Ranch Park. 2,427 acres on Hamilton Pool Road with nearly three miles of Pedernales River frontage, limestone canyon walls, 18 plus miles of trail, and an astronomical observatory on site. Entry is $5 per person, $3 for seniors 62 and over, free under 12, cash only at the booth, open 7:00 a.m. to civil twilight.

Charro Ranch Park. 64 acres at 22690 W. FM 150, donated to the city in December 2008 by Lucy Reed Hibberd after roughly fifty years of family ownership. She put in the trails, reflection areas, and tree identification signs, and the city lists photography among the park's intended uses. Quiet, free, and the best dark sky spot in town.

Hamilton Pool Preserve. The most photographed place in the county and the most rule bound. Reservations are required daily, $12 per vehicle online plus $8 per adult in cash at the gate, in 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. slots. Travis County states that reservations are not valid for commercial use, so Bridget does not book paid sessions here. It is on this list so clients know why.

Mercer Street. The historic downtown strip, with local shops and restaurants in limestone buildings more than a century old. The right backdrop when a client wants Dripping Springs to actually look like Dripping Springs rather than like generic countryside.

Pedernales Falls State Park. Twenty minutes west, with the stepped limestone riverbed that gives the park its name. Texas State Parks entry fee applies.

Bell Springs Winery. Twenty two acres, making wine since 2010 and beer since 2018, kid and dog friendly. Good for engagements and for branding work that wants a Hill Country tasting room in frame. Always ask the venue first.
